KCABJ Newsletter for December 2021

 Exceptional Party!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all KCABJ members and supporters! That was the message from KCABJ President Harold Kuntz on Dec. 11 at the KCABJ Holiday and 40th Anniversary Party.

About 30 people attended the event at the Gates Bar-B-Q Restaurant at 1325 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. A dining area reserved just for KCABJ was filled with conversations and laughter for the three hours that the party took place.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, KCABJ members and prospective members since March 2020 have only been meeting on Zoom each month. This was only the second time this year that members of KCABJ have come together in person for a special event. The other was June 30 at the Soiree Steak and Oyster House in the 18th & Vine District, where KCABJ members gathered for a sendoff for then KCABJ President Kaci Jones. Our organization believes strongly in supporting Black businesses.

The party on Dec. 11 was in lieu of a regular monthly membership meeting. Please watch for email notices on the first membership meeting of the New Year.
